At Society of Good Shepherd, we believe in compassion in action. As a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit, our work flows from deep spiritual conviction and a mission to serve the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. We collaborate with churches, hospitals, local nonprofits, and international partners who share our passion for human dignity, healing, and empowerment. Our programs touch lives daily—from the sanctuary to the street, from local neighborhoods to distant nations. Religious Programs (Worship, Training, Spiritual Care)

Our religious outreach includes vibrant worship services, prayer groups, Bible studies, and pastoral counseling. We offer formation and training for clergy, lay ministers, and missionaries, equipping them to serve with faith and compassion. Chaplains visit hospitals, homes, and shelters to bring sacraments, spiritual comfort, and hope to those in need. We are a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit committed to spiritual growth and leadership rooted in service.

Environmental & Recycling Initiatives

Through our medical and household recycling program, we collect gently used equipment, sanitize and repair it, and deliver it to families in need. We promote sustainability while addressing poverty, reducing waste, and encouraging community participation. Local donors and volunteers power this grassroots environmental initiative that changes lives one item at a time.

Outreach & Humanitarian Aid (Feeding, Housing, Refugees)

Our daily humanitarian activities include food box deliveries, hot meals, clothing drives, and hygiene distribution to homeless and underserved populations. We assist families in crisis with emergency shelter placement, transitional housing, and case management. For refugees, we provide welcome kits, resettlement support, ESL classes, and cultural orientation. Our compassionate response brings relief to those in crisis and a path to recovery.

Medical & Mental Health Services

Every day, we eliminate healthcare barriers by delivering durable medical equipment—wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and mobility aids—directly to those in need, especially low-income families and the elderly.

Education & Workforce Development

We empower adults with literacy programs, GED preparation, computer training, and vocational certification. Our focus includes preparing caregivers, CNAs, and healthcare workers for meaningful employment. Through resume assistance, job fairs, and employer partnerships, we help individuals secure stable jobs and improve their economic situation.

We extend care globally through medical missions and humanitarian aid to underserved communities abroad. We support clinics and schools, send volunteers and medical staff, and offer cultural exchange opportunities to promote peace and global solidarity. These missions reflect our commitment to a world where compassion crosses every border.

Our services

Society of Good Shepherd

Home Health Aide (HHA) Services

Certified HHAs, under nurse supervision, assist individuals with bathing, grooming, mobility, light housekeeping, and monitoring health changes. This personal, in-home care helps seniors and disabled individuals remain safely and comfortably in their homes.

Personal Care Services (Medicaid or Private Pay)

Our caregivers provide daily assistance such as cooking, errands, companionship, transportation, and medication reminders. Ideal for Medicaid recipients or private pay clients who need help with daily living tasks.

Our team provides short-term care to relieve family caregivers—whether for a few hours or overnight. We offer personal care and safety monitoring, allowing caregivers to rest, work, or travel with peace of mind.

Companion Services

Trained volunteers provide friendly visits, play games, read, run light errands, and offer companionship to reduce isolation and improve well-being.

We offer training, certification, and job placement for caregivers, CNAs, and nurses. We also support immigrants with employment pathways and continuing education to strengthen the caregiving workforce.
